News From Little Blessings Mother's Day Out/ Preschool for JULY 2010:

WOW! Summer classes are almost ending for our children downstairs. We have had so much fun this summer and we are sad to see it end. The fun included water days, the zoo came to visit us and we had themed weeks with crafts and food to go along with that theme. The Fire Men came as well as the ice cream truck. We are growing veggies in our garden and the children are so happy when they see a vegetable ready to pick. They want to thank everyone who has helped us with our gardening (and you know who you are!

We Were invited to VBS and made new friends and had a lot of fun. Our hot lunch program is going great—the kids and their parents are really loving it!

Our new FALL session starts August 16th and we are so happy to see new and returning students signing up for more days and longer hours than last year. Most of our new students are from referrals and that makes us excited that our families are happy and letting everyone know. If you get a chance, stop by and say “HI”. We would love it!!

News From Little Blessings Mother's Day Out/ Preschool for JUNE 2010:

Every month it seems exciting things are happening downstairs. This month of June we were so blessed to have a healthy staff, healthy children and a team of Trustees with a good supply of wet-vac's.

This month Nature decided to come indoors. First we were visited by a family of raccoons (so cute, but we were taught very quickly, when they say "Back Off", you better back off! Yikes!!!! I have now decided they knew the flood was coming and just wanted a seat on the ark. Or, they found out we are now serving Hot lunches and wanted a hot grilled cheese.

Yes, it is true: we have begun a hot lunch program. The children can eat snacks and lunch provided by Little Blessings. Parents are so excited and it is so much fun watching the chldren finish their lunch. We served over 100 lunches in just our first week alone.

Now that the flooding is (hopefully) over we can begin work on our garden again and enjoy the outdoors more.

Please visit us in the Nursery on Sundays. We will be helping the wonderful volunteers out (what a terrific bunch of people! )

I would like to thank everyone who stayed the night of the flood and all the work they did to help.

Thank you again and Blessings from Below Becki
