The Crossing Praise Band can be seen each week at The Crossing, our Creative Worship Service.  This dynamic group includes a wide range of ages interested in praising our Lord in new and creative ways.  The band performs praise and worship classics as well as recent compositions.  The various members of the band provide special music on a weekly basis and lead the congregation in worship.  If you would like to join the band as an instrumentalist or vocalist, please contact Stephen Rew to schedule a meeting.

Stephen Rew –Piano, Guitar, Vocal

Stephen has been music director at St. Paul's since January 2003. Stephen is married to his high school sweetheart, Cindy. They live in Peculiar with their two children: Mason, age 4 and Chloe, age 1. During the week, Stephen is the music teacher at Eagle Glen Intermediate School. "There is no greater place to share in great fellowship than St. Paul's."

Nathan Richardson - Drums

Nathan is the percussion instructor at Lee's Summit North & Pleasant Hill High Schools. He is also the percussion instructor & owner of BackBeat Music School in Lee's Summit. His wife Sarah is a nationally certified Massage Therapist & Body Somatic Fascia Speclialist and US Coast Guard Veteran. Their proudest achievements are their two beautiful children, Sam & Adaline. They reside in Lee's Summit.

Mark Thompson – Bass Guitar

I am married to Betsy and have 2 wonderful children John and David. We have been members of St. Pauls UMC for 12yrs.  In my spare time I look forward to watching my sons play basketball and baseball. I enjoy playing the bass guitar and being part of The Crossing music ministry

Thomas Walsh - Guitar

Thomas Walsh a.k.a. Jack Snaps is a School Social Worker in Shawnee Mission Schools.  He has a background in theater and dance.  He has been married 10 years to Amy and have 2 children: Archer 5, and Areowyn 1/2 year.  In his spare time, Thomas plays kids music under the name Jack Snaps.

Mike Medsker - Guitar

I am married to Angie (maiden name is Hilton) and have 2 wonderful children Zoey and Nathan. I have been a member of St Pauls since high school and my wife Angie has been a member longer than that. I started playing guitar at a very early age and love the fact that I can now help our Church by doing something I love. I am currently a Raymore City Councilmember and work for Diamond Residential Mortgage in Raymore as a mortgage loan officer.
